According to CEO Gary Bethune, the project addresses growing logistics challenges, as local shepherds report sheep are increasingly reluctant to use traditional ground transport. By utilizing existing gondola infrastructure, the initiative aims to reduce the carbon footprint of agricultural transport while offering a unique attraction for sustainable Highland tourism. Pilot operations are scheduled to begin in late 2025, pending approval from local authorities and sheep union representatives.
