Dornoch Gondola welcomes our latest staff addition Fiona Hampton in her new role as Director of Hostess Training and Discipline. Foremost on her responsibilities is resolving the controversies surrounding an employment advert posted in the Inverness Courier News by Waylon Martini Dornoch Gondola Director of Talent Management.
Mr Martini inadvertently transposed the letter 'S' in the employment post for Gondola Hostesses. The advert should have read "Embo Hostess" rather than "Embo's Hotest". Mr. Martini telephoned in the advert to the Inverness Courier. Unfortunately, due to Mr. Martini's diction, exacerbated by the evenings drink, the typographical error resulted.
As you are no doubt aware, as a condition of the Highland and Islands development iniative, and required for certification and permitting, Dornoch Godola agreed to reinstate the traditional role of Gondola Hostess. To insure complete customer satisfaction, each gondola that traverses the system will be staffed with a friendly Embo Hostess.
The employment advertizement proved compelling to many and Mr. Martini quickly approved a number of applicants based on their photos alone. Upon further inquiry several applicants became concerned when they learned that the position required actually working.
‘We have every confidence that our new Director of Hostess and Discipline will be able to address the concerns of the new applicants and community caused by Mr. Martini's typographical error’ said Gary Bethune, CEO Dornoch Gondola.
Director Finona has already taken full charge of the matter completely embrasing her responsibilities and duties. In fact, Director Fiona was recently heard, departing the 18th at Royal Dornoch, loudly proclaiming with putter raised overhead -
"I’ll teach those Embo hens a thing or two".
In addition to her role as Director of Hostess Training and Discipline, Director Fiona will continue to defend her 10 consecutive titles as Champion Lady Surf and Turfer in the upcoming season final of the World Surf and Turf Union this July at Durness.
